Utilizing a proprietary airless application system that prevents harmful bacteria from entering the bottle and contaminating the solution, Retaine HPMC enables delivery of multiple sterile doses to the eye without preservatives that can be damaging to the sensitive ocular surface. Most solutions intended for multiple use require the addition of preservatives, but Retaine HPMC has a three month stability after opening with sterility.
Easy-to-Use Multi-Dose System:
Pump the bottom of the bottle. The pumping process compresses the liquid in the flexible bag solution container.One dose is released into the stem and the unit is sealed by the ball valve while the spring seals the outlet valve tightly.Rapid opening at the spring force delivers a fixed amount of product to the eye.The valve closes immediately afterward preventing backflow.Liquid is sucked out of the flexible bag by the pump and the outer container is pressurized.The flexible bag contracts to balance the pressure so circulating air does not come in contact with the solution.
