The Story of I.E. Green Tea
Our delicious teas are grown in a World Heritage Farm in the Wuyi Mountains in southeastern China, Wuyi teas are often called “rock teas” because of the unique landscape of the mountainsides where they grow. Tea grown in this rocky region is highly valued due to the rich minerals in the soil.
I.E. Green Tea was founded in 2016 by Chicago resident Jim Johnson. After traveling extensively in China, he was impressed with the health and vitality of the people he encountered. Jim noticed one thing that everyone had in common: They all drank vast amounts of green tea daily. Green tea has a 5,000-year history and can provide astounding health benefits. The more he learned and explored, Jim became interested in manufacturing the perfect tea. Working with farmers and producers, he invented a system to maximize the health benefits of tea and pass on health to our customers.
