Ultimate Vanilla Chai Latte
Simply pour Chaikhana Chai Original – Vanilla Chai concentrate into your cup (suggested amount below). Add milk or dairy alternative and heat to desired temperature. Add a sprinkle of spice.
2 1/2 oz. Chai Concentrate = 12 oz. cup
3 1/4 oz. Chai Concentrate = 16 oz. cup
4 oz. Chai Concentrate = 20 oz. cup
Sparkling Chai Spiced Sangria
Choose a rich flavored red wine that you like. Mix the following ingredients together up to 24 hours in advance. Add various fruits as the season and local harvest may offer:
1 Bottle (750ml) Red Wine,
1 Medium Orange, sliced,
3 oz. Original – Vanilla Chai Concentrate,
12 oz. Plain Seltzer or Sparkling Water
Vanilla Chai Affogato
Try a new flavor for an old favorite, the Affogato! Pour a shot of heated Chaikhana Chai Original – Vanilla Chai concentrate over a scoop of your favorite ice cream. Delicious with or without an add shot of espresso. Top with a swirl of whipped cream and a sprinkle of spice. Hint: Use a demitasse spoon to slow down the pace. The story behind Chaikhana Chai:
As a native of Seattle and owner of a cafe called Caffe Craze, near Philadelphia, PA, Dawn Lewis wanted to create a chai concentrate made with only real ingredients and nothing artificial. She began by slow brewing organic tea leaves with fresh organic ginger, whole spices & vanilla beans. Then, organic wildflower honey was added to sweeten the brew. Soon Chaikhana Chai was being sold to neighboring cafes and later to an even wider area of the East Coast region. Even though the concentrate is now brewed in much larger batches, the process and ingredients are virtually unchanged from the original 3 gallon stove top recipes. You can create delicious cafe-style chai drinks in your own kitchen using the same slow-brewed concentrate that is still being mixed and served daily at Caffe Craze.
